Still playing catch-up amidst some new releases on this week’s brand-new episode, but those ones in the bank are absolute bangers in my opinion. Chloe is sitting out another week, but in the chair for her is Kurtis Smejkal, the host of Tremble: The Horror Movie Podcast (which I co-host), the man behind Three Angry Nerds and a writer for That Hollywood Show!
This week’s picks:
I Play Rocky – I love a good biopic, and this one comes from an Academy Award winner and features an uncanny Sly Stallone from lead actorAnthony Ippolito.
Christmas At The Kringles – Did I see some Yuletide horror at the theaters on Devil’s Night? Yes, I did, and that’s not necessarily a good thing.
Sense And Sensibility – Look, I’m not an Austen girly by any stretch, but this one immersed me; I can’t lie.
Digger – Finally, I get to speak on the biggest cinematic swing this year and, yeah, I loved it. Tom Cruise’s best, yes, I said it.
Resident Evil – I wanted to wait for Chloe on this, but I adored this film, and Kurt is the perfect dude to go over it with.
The Stunt Driver – I’m biased when it comes to Jay Baruchel, but I think this is a beautiful love letter to Ken Carter and Canadian film as a whole. Michael Dowse for the win!
Looking forward to next week: Godzilla: Minus Zero, Queen At Sea, Run Terry Run, The Social Reckoning and Other Mommy
