Hey everyone, Steve Stebbing here — Chloe’s off this week, but I’ve got a packed lineup for you on What The Hell Should I Watch?
This week:
✨ Marvel kicks off Phase 6 with Fantastic Four: First Steps — Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby & Joseph Quinn lead a 1960s-inspired reboot that finally gets the team right (Galactus is no longer a fart cloud!).
🎬 One of my top 5 films of the year so far: Marlee Matlin: Not Alone Anymore, a powerful doc directed by Shoshana Stern that shines a light on triumph, abuse, and resilience.
⛳ Netflix swings big with Happy Gilmore 2 — Sandler, Shooter McGavin, Bad Bunny & MJF (!!) make for a nostalgic, ridiculous, and surprisingly fun sequel.
🎷 On Crave: Soundtrack to a Coup d’État, a wild and sobering jazz-meets-Cold-War doc that blends music, politics, and CIA chaos.
🐾 Plus, Disney+ drops Eyes of Wakanda, a sleek but slight animated Marvel spinoff.
And in physical media this week: Thunderbolts on 4K, Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme, Criterion’s All We Imagine As Light, and some vintage gems like EdTV and Bakshi’s animated Lord of the Rings.
👉 New episodes drop every Friday at 9am PT on stevestebbing.ca and YouTube.
🔔 Like, subscribe & hit the bell so you don’t miss next week’s episode — including The Bad Guys 2, Naked Gun reboot, and maybe some Bridget Jones chaos.
